Quiz Review - Review All Answers

Apr 24, 2015

Hi Folks,

We have a final exam that is built in SL2 and it allows the student to review the quiz. The quiz draws from multiple question banks.

The issue I'm having is that when the student reviews the quiz, it is displaying random questions from the ones they answered. It skips over some questions and reviews others. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to what questions are reviewed. Shouldn't the quiz review display all of the questions the student took?

Thanks,

Jesse

Hi, Jesse -

Sorry to hear you are having difficulty, but there are a few things we can try. Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. If issues persist, please feel free to share you file here so we can take a look.

Hi Christie,

Thanks for the quick reply, but I was actually wondering about the functionality of "Review Results" at the end of a quiz and whether it is supposed to review all of the answered questions or just the ones that are marked incorrect.

Do you know what it is supposed to do? I can't find anything on the Articulate website about reviewing results even on the tutorial about how to create a results slide here: https://community.articulate.com/articles/creating-a-result-slide

Seems like a feature that is not explain but is frequently discussed on the forums. Maybe an opportunity for Articulate staff to help out?

Thanks,

Jesse

Hi Jesse!

The review results button should take them back to review all the slides from the first quiz question. There are ways to skip over certain slides, such as using variables and triggers. However, if you do not have anything in your set up to skip slides, they should all show in the review.

If you are not seeing this behavior and have gone through the links Christie shared above, could you share your file here so we can take a look?

Good to know, Emily. It is now skipping over all of the slides super quickly. I'm actually wondering if this is because we typically add a trigger on the "Incorrect" and "Correct" feedback layers to "Jump to next slide when timeline starts".

I've shortened the quiz from about 110 questions to 10 and put the answers on each slide. You can preview and it does not matter whether you get the answers right or wrong.
