Quiz Slides Not Resetting to Initial State Despite Settings

Oct 27, 2022

There's an assessment in this course that learners have to pass to complete the course, and can take the assessment infinite times until they pass.

The idea is: Upon failing the assessment, I'd like users to have a Review Content button that takes them back to the table of contents or the instructional video, so that they can review the course and return to the assessment when they're ready.

The problem is: I have the button added, I have the Reset Results trigger attached, and I have all question slides set to Reset To Initial State when revisited, and yet I can't interact with the quiz questions on second attempt if I use the Review Content button. If I click Retry Quiz upon failing, the quiz works just fine.

What's wrong here?

Thank you,

Tony

Hi Tony Blando, just move the Reset Results trigger for the Review Content button on slide 3.7's Assessments Results, Failure layer to the top position, and everything functions as it should.

You can't retake the quiz slides since the Review content button initially takes you to slide 2.1 without resetting the results.

Additionally, you mentioned that all the quiz slides within Assessment scene were set to "Reset to initial state", but I discovered that Slides 3.4 and 3.5 were still set to "Automatically decide" upon revisiting.
