Quiz Slides Pulling narration from other slides.
Jun 03, 2016
Something very strange is happing with the quiz slides in this lesson. If you look at the Check-on-Learning slides towards the bottom of each scene, you'll notice that there is no narration in the Notes field or any of the layers.
If you preview the slide and click the CC tab at the top, it will be empty as it should be. If you preview the entire scene, or publish, and click the CC tab at the top on these screens, the drop-down populates with the narration text in the Notes field from the previous screen.
I needs some help figuring this out.

Hi, Phillip -- Many thanks for your question and sorry to hear of your troubles! First, may I ask if you have tried importing your file into a new file to see if you find improvement? And also, have you tested your published output in the intended environment to see if you are finding the same behavior there, as well?
It does behave that way in the published environment which is how it was
brought to my attention. In my current role, I am going through and fixing
issues within lessons that others put together. I will try you first
suggestion.
Sounds great, Phil, and if issues persist, please be sure to let us know and I also wanted to note you may find these troubleshooting steps to be of assistance, as well.
Importing didn't produce any changes. Has anyone been able to look at the
Story file I attached and determine the cause?
Thanks for the update, Phil, and it's good that we've ruled out some of the potential causes for the trouble you are experiencing, I'll be glad to run some testing on your file and will let you know my findings shortly. Your patience is appreciated! :)
Hi, Phil -- Thanks for your patience while I tested your file, and as you can see if you click on this link to view your module on tempshare.articulate.com (an environment for testing courses published for Web), I also had the same results. As I cannot discern the source of this behavior, I would like our Support Engineers to perform closer investigation, so I will be setting you up in a case momentarily.
However, as there is more than one person with your name in our system, if you do not receive the confirmation email shortly, please check your SPAM folder, and if you do not receive it entirely, here is the form you would need to submit a case to our Support team from your end. Thanks for your continued patience!
Thank you for your response and I will be looking for the email.
Hi, Phil -- At this point, the confirmation email should have reached you, so I'd recommend that you go ahead and submit directly to support using this form to create a case. As I mentioned, there is more than 1 account in our system under the name "Phil Robinson", so I may have created the ticket in error, which I will cancel accordingly.
If you would like to share your case number here after you submit your case, that would be great, and we will be more than happy to follow along from there! Apologies for any inconvenience! :)
No confusion. I did receive a confirmation email and Justin Grenier said he
would be in touch.
Awesome, Phil! Thanks for the clarification and yes, I see that our Support Engineer, Renato, has replied to your ticket as follows:
"I understand that the notes from the other slides are appearing on the current slide.
Thank you for uploading your project. We have reviewed your project file and we were able to duplicate your issue. I have submitted your case to our Quality Assurance team for their review. As a workaround you can try doing the following below:
1) Go to the slide without notes.
2) Add a period sign in the notes panel.
3) Change the font color of the period sign to the same color of the player.
For example, please download your updated project file from the link below and go to slide 2.9.

I cannot offer a time frame for when or if this issue will be resolved so please continue to take advantage of the workaround if you encounter this issue in the future."
Hope that update helps others who may be following along here, as well!
