I've built a Likert-style survey in SL3. In it are several statements, each followed by seven radio buttons, "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree". In "Tab Order", I've assigned the appropriate alt text to each button so that screen reader users will know which button goes with which reaction. However, in testing, I've found that neither JAWS, NVDA nor VoiceOver will read the alt text. (They only say "Radio Button: Radio" or "Radio Button 2" for each of the seven buttons.) Is there a known workaround for this?
Sorry you’ve hit this roadblock! The first thing that popped into my head was the button states. And sure enough, I found this excellent discussion on how the alt text in the tab order will not adjust the button's Normal state text.

Try editing the Normal state and see if it helps!
