Radio Button Not Show Selected

Hi All,

I'm using Storyline 2. I have a set of bullet points with radio buttons in front. The purpose is when participants click on 1 radio button for one choice, it will "show layer" that has certain information. 

I have tried creating triggers for the button (either individual triggers, conditions, or set the button to show the layer when it "is selected") and every time it does show the layer I want. HOWEVER, when the layer is shown, the radio button does not show the "selected" effect (or shows that it's being clicked), unless I click on it again. 

Please kindly advise :(
