Randomized Question Draw Algorythm

Nov 18, 2019

Hi Team!

If a question bank includes more than one subject matter, is there a way to ensure an equal number of questions is drawn from each subject matter when randomized draw is turned on?

Thanks in advance!

On another note, I've encountered an interesting issue when it comes to taking an exam using the published SCORM in the LMS. It seems that using multiple question banks causes it to get stuck when you get to the last question in a question bank draw.

For example, if I have a question bank of 10 questions and tell it to randomly choose 4 questions, it gets stuck on the 4th question and in order to move forward I have to select the previous button first then hit next twice to move on the questions from the next question bank.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi Philip,

Sorry to hear that your course is getting stuck on that last question? Are you experiencing this while previewing as well, or only in the published output?

If you're able to share your file publicly here, feel free to do so by clicking Add Attachment, otherwise you can share it privately with me here, and I'll delete once I'm done taking a look!

Hi Ren,

It behaves the same way in preview mode directly in SL as well. I have shared the file with you privately. Thanks in advance for your help. I took another look and it might not be the last question per draw. It might be the way certain questions are setup. For example, please take a look at the question bank "FMS Correctives" question #11. It happens every time this question comes up.

Thanks in advance!
