Randomizer with names

Oct 05, 2020

Hello! I have a randomizer wheel that now finally works with a toggle (thanks to someone in this community) - I'm now looking for some help as to how I would go about allocating each slice of the wheel with a name that would then jump to a slide with information about that person.

Thanks for your help!

Following this one. Interested to see any proposed solutions. It looks like a tough one to me as there isn't any way for you to check the current position of the rotated graphic (in Storyline). It won't be reliable enough to do based on time either as the wheel rotates in 0.5 seconds and time can be unreliable to track too and probably wouldn't align with the rotation of the graphic.

I think the wheel would have to have equal segment sizes (I think they do already). It would then at least make a JavaScript solution possible.

EDIT: Probably not possible in current format with JS as the rotation is not using transform:rotate but transform:matrix, therefore very difficult to determine a position at any given point.

I think it might in this instance be better to rotate using JavaScript so it is easy to determine position of the wheel based on the rotation property.
