Record Screenshots/Clicks ONLY

Aug 04, 2020

Hello,

With Adobe Captivate the default recording style is to record a screenshot every time you click.  Of course, you can switch to record fmv if you want.

Is there a way to do this in Storyline?  Storyline seems to only want to record fmv with additional screenshots if you choose.  I know I can click Printscreen to capture a screen but I do NOT want to record any video at all - only screenshots.

Is there a way to setup Storyline to only record screenshots with each mouse click?

Thanks in advance.

When you record your screen in Storyline, it records a video of what you're doing. When you're done recording, you can insert a video screencast or one of three simulation types.

The sim types will give you the single screen options. From there you can do with them what you want. You don't need to use the video, the video is just the source of the screenshots when they get inserted. One of the benefits of the video is action fine-tuning where you can easily swap the screenshot for a different one (for example when there are unwanted artifacts).

Same question.  i only want to capture specific slides as I go through a process, not space-consuming video files of the processes.  like the questioner, i need a function similar to Captivate, where as the process is being recorded, i can press a specific key and capture an image, so at the end of the recording only have a series of images and no video.
