Hi:) i have successfully recorded 2 simulations prior to experiencing an issue where my recording doesn't record the steps I require, just gives me a screen shot (1 page). what am I doing wrong?
Hey there Rose! First, I'm going to drop a link to our User Guide article about inserting screen recordings which provides instructions for different ways to have that simulation show.
Specifically, the recording that isn't showing your actions-- is that recording capturing a different software or process than the other successful recordings? The software that you're recording may require certain settings to enable Storyline to capture your action.

Specifically, the recording that isn't showing your actions-- is that recording capturing a different software or process than the other successful recordings? The software that you're recording may require certain settings to enable Storyline to capture your action.
This article describes why only one slide is added when you've inserted a step-by-step recording.
On the other hand, if you are recording your doings in Google Chrome, it doesn't communicate very well with the Windows tool Storyline uses to capture actions.

Yes, when I played around a little, it appears that it is the actual program that I am trying to record that doesn’t allow me to record it.
I can still record other systems/tools just fine!
I will ask our system specialist to find out if he knows what I need to do!
