Registered Trademark symbols in Storyline - How?

Apr 07, 2014

Anyone have a solution, not in Engage, to insert registered trademark or other symbols?  I must be missing something.

I find it easy to create the symbol text in Word or PowerPoint (as part of my Storyboard), and use Microsoft's shortcuts for creating these symbols. I then copy the text and symbol to the clipboard and paste it into Storyline.  Storyline maintains the font used in the course, but the symbols comes over great. You can also change the font in Storyline and increase or decrease the size, and the symbol stays.

For example, if you type: Text (c) .  When you press the space bar after the ending parentheses, Word (and PowerPoint) will convert the C into a copyright symbol (small, superscript C within a circle).  Other shortcuts include:

Text (TM)  - creates the trademark symbol

Text (R) - creates the Registered symbol
