Repair - May I loose my project?

May 31, 2016

Hi,

I first encountered problems editing software simulations. Then, I had sound issues. Now, the slider is not working properly. I think I should conduct a repair but I am afraid to the loose the project I am currently working on.  Is there such a risk?

Thanks for your help,

Mélanie

Hi, Melanie -- Thanks for reaching out and so sorry to hear of the difficulties you have experienced, but it sounds to me like a repair is just what the doctor ordered to address the behaviors you are finding! We recommend working on your projects locally as described here, but it never hurts to back up your files elsewhere on a USB or a file-sharing sight.

As stated in the article shared above, "If you need to place a copy of your project on a network drive or a USB drive for backup or versioning purposes, it's fine to do that after you've closed Storyline. Avoid reopening the project again until you've copied it back to your local hard drive."
