my client is looking to possibly host their elearning file on moodle. What they would like is one file with 3 different sections and allow the learner to pick the section(s) they want to view. However, they want to also be able to track who viewed what section and when. Is this possible?
SToryline will only be able to report on one completion/tracking method - number of slides viewed or reaching a results slide. You may want to look at including a question at the end of each section that's specific to that section and track those to a results slide. That way based on how they responded or the overall "score" shared you'll know what sections they went through.
Thats what I figured. I was hoping someone on the forum had a workaround they had. Seems that the results slide workaround would be the best way. Any suggestions on that?
I guess my suggestions would depend on your set up...are you using quizzes? Do they only need to view one section to be completed? 2 out of 3?
Lets say it's just one section, so I would include a question slide at the end of each section to have them confirm that they viewed it. You'd include a results slide that all the sections branch to - and it would track the 3 questions. You'd want to set the passing requirement to only 1/3 of the overall score (assuming they only need 1 out of 3). This is similar to how you'd do it with just one quiz style question described here.
