Reset Numeric Entry (Try Again Quiz)

Nov 22, 2016

Hey there,
I'm working with S2 for 3 weeks and I had a lot of fun with it. Now I got a Problem with a Quiz. I have 5 slides with Multiple-Choice, Multiple-Response and NumericEntry questions. In the Result-Slide (fail) there is a "try again"-Button which takes the User to the first question. I'm able to answer all questions from the beginning, but I'm not able to enter a new number in the NumericEntry-Field. There is still the one i typed in earlier. But i cant change this one.

Thanks a lot :)

Hi there Manuel!

There's a little trick you can do to remove the value from the numeric entry box when your user is retrying the quiz:

  1. Go to the slide that has a numeric entry box.
  2. Delete the numeric entry field.
  3. Press 'Ctrl + Z' to undo.
  4. You'll see your numeric entry field is back, but now the trigger is unassigned.
  5. Test your file - the numeric entry should appear blank when retrying the quiz.

I threw together a quiz sample file to show you how it works. Give it a try, and let me know if this will work for you!
