It'll depend on how you want the user to revisit and reanswer the question - and which matching question type you're using. Are you having them revisit it from the results slide or just as a second attempt? Each quiz question allows you to set the number of attempts and could use that to have the question reset. You'll see some question types like a drag and drop won't reset the location of all the drag items - such as a few years discuss here.
As Ashley said, it does depend on the type of quiz. By the way, this is also done using Storyline 1.
I've created resets for two different Matching Quizzes in the attached
For the Matching Drag And Drop I created a variable called TRIESDRAG. More on that variable below I reset the slide properties so that When Revisiting is set to Reset to initial state
I added Triggers to the Try Again Layer LAYER TRIGGERS Show layer incorrect when the timeline starts if TRIESDRAG is greater than 0
OBJECT TRIGGERS Add 1 to TRIESDRAG when the user clicks the Try Again button Jump to the Base Layer (1.1Match these drag) when the user clicks the Try Again button IF TRIESDRAG is less than or equal to 1
Since her solution is for unlimited attempts, I've added information to only allow for 2 attempts (or you could adjust the variable the desired number of attempts)
I created a variable called TRIESDROPDOWN. More on its use below
Set the question slide properties to "Reset to initial state"
Set the number of attempts to 2 (or more if you want more attempts)
Place a blank slide prior to the quiz slide, with the trigger - jump to next slide when timeline starts (this will allow it to not be visible)
Create a trigger on the Try Again layer to jump to the blank side when clicking Try again
I set up 3 triggers on the Try Again Layer LAYER TRIGGER: Show layer Incorrect if TRIESDROPDOWN is greater than or equal to 1
OBJECT TRIGGERS: Add 1 to TRIESDROPDOWN when user clicks the Try again button Jump to 1.2 Blank slide when user clicks Try again IF TRIESDROPDOWN = 1
Trigger Order can be very important, so be sure to pay attention to that when you're looking at these examples. I hope that covers it ... and that I didn't forget anything!
Thanks for sharing your file - I took a look and wanted to confirm that you're experiencing difficulty with the first question? That one doesn't seem to have a submission trigger and therefore is never firing for the feedback layers to be shown. If I'm misunderstanding your set up or the question, could you share which ones are causing difficulty and I'll take a closer look.

Hi Amelie,
It'll depend on how you want the user to revisit and reanswer the question - and which matching question type you're using. Are you having them revisit it from the results slide or just as a second attempt? Each quiz question allows you to set the number of attempts and could use that to have the question reset. Hello Amelie! and welcome to Heroes!
You do have the ability to reset the results of a results slide through a trigger called "reset results"
This can be used if you redirect them to retry the quiz from the results slide properties.
This is only going to work on a results slide, not an individual question, unless you set it to unlimited attempts.
If you set up a results slide for this question only, you can use the reset results trigger.
Here is information on adding and using triggers.
Hello,Thank you for your answers.
I want to reset the answers in a second attempt when I view the layer " try again ."
Thanks
Hi Amelie
As Ashley said, it does depend on the type of quiz. By the way, this is also done using Storyline 1.
I've created resets for two different Matching Quizzes in the attached
For the Matching Drag And Drop
I created a variable called TRIESDRAG. More on that variable below
I reset the slide properties so that When Revisiting is set to Reset to initial state
I added Triggers to the Try Again Layer
LAYER TRIGGERS
Show layer incorrect when the timeline starts if TRIESDRAG is greater than 0
OBJECT TRIGGERS
Add 1 to TRIESDRAG when the user clicks the Try Again button
Jump to the Base Layer (1.1Match these drag) when the user clicks the Try Again button IF TRIESDRAG is less than or equal to 1
For the Matching Drop Down
This one's a little trickier. Ashley actually came up with the solution a while back (http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/36852/199037.aspx#199037) You actually can make this work if you insert a blank slide before the matching drop-down slide
Since her solution is for unlimited attempts, I've added information to only allow for 2 attempts (or you could adjust the variable the desired number of attempts)
I created a variable called TRIESDROPDOWN. More on its use below
I set up 3 triggers on the Try Again Layer
LAYER TRIGGER: Show layer Incorrect if TRIESDROPDOWN is greater than or equal to 1
OBJECT TRIGGERS:
Add 1 to TRIESDROPDOWN when user clicks the Try again button
Jump to 1.2 Blank slide when user clicks Try again IF TRIESDROPDOWN = 1

Thank you for that answer , I'll test it until Thursday.
Looking forward to hearing how it all works out.
Hello,
Here is my .story file - it is just that question slide. Let me know if that is enough information
Hi Sharon,
Just to keep things together - I responded in this thread where you shared the initial information you wanted to have happen in this file.
Wow Ashley - this is such a great way to learn. Now I see what you meant by Add 1 to Triesdrag ... Thank you so much!!

No problem Sharon - and glad that was what you needed and helped you out.
Hi everyone,
I have sounds problems with an exercice of Articulate Storyline 2 (update 5).
My first column is 1, 2, 3 or 4.
My second column is a link with 4 words to choose.
The sound and question are OK here.
BUT when I answered the question, I don't hear the sound of the positive or negative feedback.
Moreover, the next question does not appear as it should!
Here is my Storyline with my personals layouts.
Thanks so much for your help!!
