I'm looking to get some advice on how to do something in Storyline 1. Is there a way I can use a button and a trigger so if a learner revisits a slide and it resumes saved state (we don't want it to auto re set to initial) they can make the decision on just that 1 slide to reset to initial?
Looks like Glenn has popped in to assist you here and unfortunately the slide properties will drive this behavior.
Many users will have a 'reset' button for various reasons in the course, but essentially they set the trigger on this button to jump back to the same slide, which is set to re-set to initial state and it resets.
As Glenn mentioned, there may be other ways to help you in your design. Our community members are very creative :)

Hi Lindsay.
I don't think there is an option in SL1 to manually decide whether a slide resumes or resets. I've never seen that option anyway...
What is going on in your slide? Is it something you could accomplish by using states, variables and layers?
