Resources tab won't update to new content

Hello all,
I built a yearly compliance quiz in SL that I update each time, based upon the last version--saved as a new file, of course. In the resources tab of the player I put a pdf document with the info they need to complete the quiz. This time I've attached the pdf directly from file. I uploaded to a test web server for testing. Clicking on the Resources tab does not bring up the current version--2015--but the previous--2013--that had been put in the resources tab as a URL to our LMS server. I've checked repeatedly and I did indeed delete the reference to the previous URL version. I also deleted and re-added the pdf file.
I'm sooo confused. How on earth is it doing that and, more importantly, how to fix it?

Hi Allen, your comment above 'this time I have attached directly from file... do you mean you have a button with a trigger 'jump to url/file'? If that is the case, I wouldn't expect the resources tab to show the updated file - my understanding is the file has to be loaded directly in the resources tab to view from there...if it is added via the trigger it will open up in the file location where it is stored...hope this helps
Wendy,
Thanks for your reply.
Both times I used the Resources tab (Player > Resources). The earlier version was linked to a URL on our LMS web site. The current version is from a file on my local drive. I didn't use a trigger on any slide for it.
Hope that clarifies.

Hi Allen
so are you testing the published version of your story or previewing? Can you check the published folder > External files folder to see if you can see the PDF listed there.
Greetings,
Yup. The 2015 pdf is indeed there.

Try clearing your cache, then check again.
HI, Wendy,
I actually found a solution to the problem. It didn't answer my question as to why it was happening but did make the proper resource attachment show up.
I imported all the slides into a new SL project, attached the pdf and republished. All is well except the minor mystery of why it occurred at all. But then what is life without at least a little mystery, eh?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the update Allen :)
Good news Allen...glad you got it sorted
Hi Heroes,
I have a very similar issue to the one described here. I used a previous course as a template for new content. I removed the resources related to the prior course and added the new ones. One is a file (.pdf) and the other three are links.
They preview fine as noted by Allen in this string, but the publication does not reflect the changes. It seems like a refresh issue to me, but none of the usual fixes are working (save, remove and reattach, republish, etc.). Do I need to go through the steps for Allen's fix or is there another option?
Hi Tammy,
I'd suggest doing a save as or an import into a new project - and then when uploading your published content and testing that confirm that you've cleared your browser cache so that you're not accessing an older version of the course.
You're a genius Ashley. Doing a Save As worked!!!
Glad that worked Tammy! :)
