Restrict Navigation

In reference to this article, http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/how-to-restrict-navigation-throughout-a-storyline-course. Does anyone know if there is a way to restrict how long a user stays on a page if there is no interaction and no audio. In other words, nothing to use as a trigger to make my next button appear. I tried adjusting the length of the timeline and the button never appeared, even after the amount of time that I set on the timeline. If anyone has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Donna,
What about if you put a shape on the screen whose state was always hidden? Then tie the trigger tot hat shape's timeline.
Happy Friday! Julie
Instead of having the shape hidden you could also place the shape off the screen.
Are you using a custom button? If so, you should just be able to adjust it on the timeline to appear after a certain amount of time.
Placing the image off screen works but if a user is using a keyboard to navigate, placing or leaving text, images, etc. off slide causes problems for that user.
Hi Donna,
It looks like Julie and Cary have you covered here, but please let us know if you need anything else.
