I recently observed that when question slides are attached to a result slide, and the user completes the full course- lands on the results slide, but goes back to retry the questions, the questions won't let the user reattempt. Question slides that are not assigned to the results slide are resetting fine though. Any insights or turnarounds?
try setting the 'revisit slide' setting on the quiz slides to 'automatically decide' and make sure the trigger to 'reset results' on the result slide is before the 'jump to slide' trigger.
Hi Wendy, so i have say 4 question slides that are like knowledge checks, so users can retake any number of times. The course summary slide is actually a Results slide that passes Passed/Incomplete status and the score to LMS. I do not want to offer a 'Reset results' button to users on this Summary slide. So, the users should be marked with a completion status for their first attempt, but they should be able to try the questions/ knowledge checks as many times they want via the Menu/ navigation buttons.
Are you suggesting SL360 won't allow retrying questions without resetting results? Is this a SL360 bug?
I don't think it's a bug - but the way Storyline prevents your users from resetting their question answers by accident. Have you looked at not tracking those individual questions to your results slide? Or tracking by reaching a particular slide - that method may match your needs a bit better.
