How do I change the deafult value of the Results.Passpoints variable? It is set at 10. I need it to be 8. I have 8 questions and each question award 1 point. If this is set at 10, how will my users pass the assessment as they will only score a max of 8.
The results pass.points variable should be set by setting the pass percentage in the results slide, you should not need t adjust this value. I would check your result slides has the correct questions attached
I'm not sure what documentation you're looking for, but you could review the information here on the Results slide and the internal variables such as resultspass.points are not accessible as Phil mentioned.
This thread answered my question about whether the results variables are modifiable. Since they aren't, is it possible to add variables to the slide to tell:
Total points user got correct of total points possible
AND
Total points needed to pass of total points possible?
I'm guessing this would be set up using variables, correct?
Solution found. I changed the point value for each question to 1 and then modified the text on the results slide to the following where "15" is the total number of questions in the quiz.
This displays the learner's score in a percent and total number questions answered correct of the total number of questions.
Hi There. I'm currently combining a few courses into one. For some reason the first two results slides are sharing the same results.points results.percentage variables. No matter what I do, import the second course or delete and re-create the second results slide, they're still sharing. I thought the second results slide would be updated to results1.points and results1.percentage? I'm assuming the two exams can't share the same variables? See attached.
You would be correct, you wouldn't want to use the same variable for different result slides.
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
I'd be interested in the answer to Justin's questions about the same variables being used again. I have 3 quiz results (different languages) and am trying to create a combined results slide but the variables are the same so no matter which language path I take, the final slide shows my score 3 times over.
I'm sorry to hear you're running into this issue as well! There is a bug associated with Justin's case where a results slide storytemplate will not generate a new set of result slide variables when imported to a course with an existing result slide.
If this is what you're experiencing, feel free to share your file with our support team to take a closer look, and offer some recommendations!

Hi Shivani
change it in the quiz slide and then adjust the results slide for the passing % you want
Hi Wendy,
Changing the quiz slide only changes the points for that question, but won;t change the default value of the variable.
Any other ideas?
There is no way to change the results variables they are protected values.
The results pass.points variable should be set by setting the pass percentage in the results slide, you should not need t adjust this value. I would check your result slides has the correct questions attached
Thanks Phil. Is there a resource somewhere that explains how the inbuilt variables work?

Thanks for sharing your solution Victoria :)
You're welcome. :) I hope it helps others.

Thanks Ren! I shared my project - it has started doing some very strange things the more I work on it!
i was trying to recreate the solution shared by Diana Myers in this thread:

Thanks, Stella. I can see that Georvy is already taking a look so you should be hearing from him soon.
