Resume video upon close of pop-up(s)

Hello Heroes!
I have created a screen that has a video (auto-play at beginning of timeline), along with seven clickable icons beneath the video. Clicking any icon pauses the video as a pop-up window, triggered from that icon, appears.
I would like the video to resume playing when the learner "Xs out" of each pop-up. I thought I could just create a trigger to play the video again when the X is clicked, but the Xs (along with the pop-up windows) are on separate layers from the video, so I can't access the video via triggers on that layer.
Does anyone in this amazing community have any advice for me? :-) I have a feeling that it's as obvious as the nose on my face... but I'm just not finding it!
Thanks in advance!
Carol

You need to keep popup layer and X button on sub layer of main timeline (where video is playing). Now, you can use 'resume timeline' trigger on X. which resume video where it was left.
If your pop-up is a layer that is set to pause base timeline, showing the layer pauses the timeline and video, and hiding the layer resumes the timeline and the video. Any other triggers you add will probably conflict with that built-in function and cause problems.
Please check Ayoub's sample file. It must resolve your query.
Thanks once again, Ayoub!! I had actually figured it out - or at least created something that worked. Here's a comparison of base layers...
...and one of the pop-up layers: (It works when I test it, but maybe I'm not aware of something? I'm using replacement assets for now, but that shouldn't make a difference -- I hope!?)
