'Resume Where You Left Off' won't take me back to the last viewed slide, our 'Quiz Results Slide'.

Oct 17, 2016

I have a Storyline course with a 10 question exam (through Question bank) at the end of a course. A learner passes the exam, views their results, and exits the course. When they try to go back into the course saying 'Yes' to 'Resume where you left off' they are taken to question 6 of our 10 question quiz. I want them to be directed back to their results page (the last page they viewed). Is there something I can fix to get this to work properly?

Our course is launched in an LMS system (Traccess). I have tested it in Scorm Cloud and it is doing the same thing.

I am running into the same issue and wondering if there's a fix yet. The same behaviour on our LMS and on SCORM Cloud. It happens in two of my courses, but this is particularly problematic where I have an assessment in the middle. The learner goes thru the assessment reaches the Results screens, and proceeds to watch the rest of the content (I have a lot of extra slides after the assessment). If they decide to leave the course and resume "where they left off" it takes them back to the last question of the assessment.

Thanks for your prompt response,

These are the settings on my file:

Resume is set to: On Restart – Prompt to Resume
Articulate Storyline version: 3.13.15006.0
Let me know how I can share my storyline source file privately.

Thanks for those details Rocio.

I first want to mention that you version indicates that you are on Update 13 from March 1st and we are now on Update 16. You can find all of the details here.

It sounds like you may be exceeding the suspend data limits. Are you publishing for SCORM 1.2 or 2004?

If you're still experiencing an issue after checking those things, you can share privately here.

It also looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.

Hi, Stephanie.

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues when users resume your course.

Have you tested your course with SCORM Cloud? Here's a step-by-step article!

If you have tested it, does it behave as expected, or do you experience the same as when playing the project through your LMS?

Hi Jacqueline

I managed to resolve the issue  by replacing a font not installed on my system - Phil Mayor (articulate superhero) suggested it could be caused by a special character corrupting the published file and it made sense that an unsupported font might make this happen. Might not be causing your specific issue but I thought I’d mention this, as I was relieved to solve the problem. Stephanie
