Retrieving lesson_location / bookmark value in Storyline

Hi All,

I am trying to create a custom bookmark / resume popup in Storyline and for the same, I need to retrieve the bookmark value.

I tried it using JavaScript and calling the function SCORM_GetBookmark(). But what I observed that storyline doesn't store the bookmark value in lesson_location. It saves the value in suspend_data. (Please correct me if I am wrong) that too in obfuscated / unreadable form.

Based on the observations, I have following queries.

1. Is there any particular reason, storyline uses suspend data and not lesson location to store bookmark value?

2. What needs to be done in order to get the last visited page value? OR is it possible at first place in current version (2.0)?

Hi Mahesh- Can't help with bookmarks however I have a suggestion.

Create a variable called SlideNum. Create trigger that changes that value to the Slide Number on each Slide. Copy and paste to every slide and adjust values. Send that value through Scorm or have a UI that return to that Slide # as needed per bookmark,
