Retry a quiz without retaking the entire course in Articulate Storyline 2

Mar 24, 2015

Hello all,

I am trying to achieve the same goal as the author posted here: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/retry-a-quiz-without-retaking-the-course -- I have three sections in the course. At the end of each section, I have a cluster of questions for the learners to answer. I wish to allow learners to click on the "Retry Quiz" button to retake the quiz questions for all three sections, without having to going through the content slides before each quiz cluster.

I used the similar method which was used by Rebecca in that post: add a variable named "RetryQuiz"to the "Retry quiz" button on the Quiz Summary slide. When user clicks, the variable changes from False to True, and jump back to the first quiz slide of the first section. For the last quiz slide of the first section, I set up the triggers on both "correct" and "incorrect" layers, to jump to the first question slide of section 2, if "RetryQuiz" is True.

However, it doesn't work.

I searched on the forum, and found the post that I mentioned at the beginning of this post. People are saying that the work around seems not to work in Articulate storyling 2.

However, I am still hoping that it was something I did wrong in my course, instead of the specific version of Articulate storyline 2.

I am attaching a mock up story file here for you to look at and give me some hints.

Thank you very much.
