Retry Quiz - Multiple Issues

I have a question bank where learners receive 10 questions out of the pool of 20. I have set up question variables so that the slide indicates "Question 1 of 10" and so on.
1. When retaking the quiz, the question number variable reads a bizarre "Question 11 of 10". How can I have it to reset when retaking the quiz? (See attached image).
2. This question variable for some reason jumps 2 numbers on the second attempt. In the attached image, the number jumped from 27 to 29. I couldn't see anything incorrect in the settings for the slide.
3. Finally, I notice that all fill-in-blank questions come pre-populated with the answer that was typed in during the previous attempt. How can I prevent this?

Hi Shanti,
Try this to see if it solves the number variable issue:
Let me know if this worked!

Hi Shanti,
It looks like Rutwin has you started on your variables, but I also wanted to share a link to this thread where I shared some other ideas on how to reset the Fill in the blank quiz.
The thread suggests adding a blank slide prior to the fill-in-blank question. The FIBs are drawn from a pool of questions. Will the suggestion still work? I can't guarantee the sequence. Also there are quite a few FIBs... obviously then I need a blank slide before each. Too much work :(
I think you misunderstood; you won't need to add a new slide before each of the questions, instead, just link to this 1 slide each time a user wants to retake the quiz.
A simple copy paste of a trigger to this slide would be sufficient....unless I am the one that misunderstood you
Thanks Rutwin for chiming back in!
Great, I'll give it a try. How does one set the number variable equal to zero on the redirected slide?
a picture is worth....
EDIT: Make sure you put this trigger before the trigger to retake the quiz
Thanks Rutwin for sharing the picture!
Rutwin, thanks so much!! I tried something different, and want you to weigh in, please!
I added a trigger on the retry quiz button to reset the number variable to zero. It's working correctly, but I'm wondering if you had a reason for suggesting using a blank slide to reset the variable? Maybe I'm overlooking something?
I haven't yet tried to work on the FIB issue. That's next.
Good to hear you fixed one of the issues, Shanti!
I suggested to put the trigger on the new slide to ensure the variable reset, regardless of where inside your course the learner pressed on a retake-quiz button. (time-saving and orderly)
The reason for the blank slide (landing page) is to hopefully solve the FIB issue you're having.
Let me know how it goes!
Rutwin - I didn't get a chance to try it out. For reasons unconnected with this issue, the FiBs were taken out...
But thanks for the help with the other issues. I really appreciate how this community helps out - and FAST!
Hi Shanti! Glad that Rutwin was able to help you out here, thanks for the update and just let us know if you need anything further.
Thanks Rutwin
I am trying to force users to retake this quiz upon failing. However, it will not restart the quiz correctly. I've tried resetting it, but it still doesn't clear out the first try and allow for retaking it fresh again.
Hi Steve
It is the trigger order. Normally you would have a Retry Quiz button that would have two triggers in this order:
1. reset results on result slide xx when user clicks
2. Jump to slide xx (beginning of quiz) when user clicks
Thank you so much ;)
