Retry Quiz - Results Page Doesn't Load

Dec 28, 2018

I was updating some SL360 courses and noticed that the retry quiz feature suddenly has an issue. I fail a quiz, click retry, and am taken back to the quiz again (so far so good). However, once I complete the quiz the second time and should see the results slide, I only see a loading animation and the results slide never appears. This only seems to happen when I'm using a question bank. And I've made sure my triggers are all ordered correctly (reset results appears before jump to slide). Attached is a sample course with 2 scenes - one uses a question bank (and isn't working) the other just has 2 question slides (and is working). Any ideas? Is this just a bug in SL360?

Very sorry you've come across this roadblock, Helen. Happy to help!

Do you experience the freezing when retrying questions in a question bank in Chrome? If so, one workaround is to roll back to Update 22 temporarily.

If your experience matches Leslie's description, you can get around this separate bug by adding an introductory slide before the question draw slide.

Let us know if that helps! Our team is investigating both bugs closer, and we'll post all updates here (and in this discussion) once we have them!

Following this thread as well. Having the same issue when retrying a quiz from a question bank and testing the course in Chrome.

I changed the trigger for the Retry Quiz button to point to the slide I have before the draw quiz slide. I failed the quiz and now when clicking the Retry button (linked to the slide right before the Draw from question bank slide), the course freezes. Closing the course then re-launching and selecting to resume the course takes me to the Slide Results where clicking the Retry Quiz performs as expected. Not sure if there's some latency that is causing the freezing.

Hi Everyone,

I am happy to share that the issue where the result slide would freeze on retry when the content starts with drawn question banks is now resolved!

The next step is to update Storyline 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking "Update" next to Storyline.

If the problem reappears, please let us know! We are happy to help!
