I am having trouble with the logic that I would like to apply to the Retry Test button on the Results slide. If the user passes the course, I would like the button to be hidden. If they fail, I would like the Next button to be hidden so that they are forced to retake the test.
Can anyone assist me on the best way to accomplish this?
I just did that, and I love the simplicity of it. I tested it, however, and did not get the desired results. I intentionally failed the first round so that I could test the Retry Test button. On the second round, I passed the test/quiz, but it showed that I still failed. I have a trigger to Reset results for the Results slide when the user clicks the Retry Test button, but it still shows a failure. Am I missing a step somewhere?
Hi Jason, are you using one of the default results slides? They automatically show the fail/pass layer depending on the users score. Also on your retry test, where are you sending the users back to?
Is it possible to share your file so I can take a look?
I am using a default results slide. I am sending the users back to the first slide in the draw from the question bank.
Also, the Complete button that I added (Just to Exit Course when the user clicks the button) is not working. I don't know if that is because it is showing the Failed layer? I am going to go through and pass on the first attempt and see if it lets me click the Complete button then.
I am not allowed to share the file. I work for an Information Security company, and they would crucify me for releasing the files! :-)
have the Retry button initial state set to Hidden and trigger to Normal when the timeline starts if pass points less than xx (whatever your pass score value is>...that may work for you
Ok, I came in this morning and tested the quiz, and it is working the way that I feel that it should. I am not sure why it was still showing the Fail message layer after re-taking and passing, but it is functioning properly now. I have one last issue. I have a variable (currentSlide) that counts what test number they are on. There are 40 questions, so it will say 1 of 40, 2 of 40, etc. When I click the Retry Test button, it will go and show 41 of 40, 42 of 40, etc. I created a trigger to subtract 40 from the currentSlide variable, but it still shows 41 of 40 on the first test question slide when I re-take it.
