Reviewing Quiz/Changing Answers

Aug 18, 2016

I am having trouble with the review quiz feature. I created a pick one quiz for users that does not provide any feedback. I want to give them the opportunity to review their answers prior to final submission. When they go back to review, some of the questions will not allow them to change their answers. I cannot find a way to avoid this issue.

I want users to have the ability review their answers prior to final submission of a quiz. We don't provide them any feedback during the quiz so they won't know if they got an answer correct or incorrect. We would like to give them the opportunity to get one last look at their responses, make any changes if necessary, and then do a final submission of the quiz. If that doesn't clarify it please let me know. Unfortunately I am unable to post an example of what I am trying to do.

Okay, so in your instance you do not mean review post-assessment to see correct/incorrect, but please review prior to submission?

By default, question slides in Articulate Storyline have a Submit button, meaning each question will be submitted one at a time for evaluation and feedback will be displayed immediately. If you want all the questions to be submitted at the same time at the end of the quiz, change the navigation controls from Submit buttons to Prev/Next buttons. Here's how.

I apologize for misunderstanding and thanks for the further explanation.

I tried removing submit and just having next and previous buttons with a final submission at the end. However, if the user enters the correct response on the first try, it will not allow them the opportunity to change their response. It will only allow you to change the answer if it's incorrect. I have attached an example of a quiz that is built similarly to the quiz that I am having an issue with.

Hi Destiny!

Thanks for sharing your file and allowing me to take a look. The issue you were seeing was due to having the results slide submitted prior to reviewing responses. As the documentation above states, it also works better if you have a slide for this before your actual results slide and it looks like you set them up on the result slide.

Take a look at your updated file attached. Hope this helps :)
