Saving to a PPT format for mass training...later use in an LMS?

Jul 17, 2012

I'm wanting to create our corporate safety training programs in Articulate to be launched over the LMS at a later time, however, I will need to do conduct mass face-to-face training in the beginning to get all employees in compliance.  If I create the programs in Storyline, can I publish it to a format similar to power-point to present in a face-to-face setting?

Welcome to Heroes, L.D.!

Can you tell us a little more about these "face-to-face" settings you're preparing for? Does that mean you just want them to sit down and watch a slideshow-type presentation? If so, your best bet would probably be to just go ahead and build that within PowerPoint, because you can always import it into Storyline later. Although most features in PowerPoint and Articulate Presenter are supported in Storyline, some are not. This article discusses those that aren't.

I'm working to create a corporate safety training program that has a few areas of initial need, so initially, I need to sit all the employees down together using a slideshow-presentation to initially train the masses.  Then I need to place that same program into our LMS so that it can be viewed by new employees and for annual required re-training (OSHA type training).

Peter, thank you for the response and I think based on my situation and what you provided above, that I'll create them in PowerPoint and  convert to Storyline at a later time.  Wow, that seems so boring .  However, I have to keep the initial goal in mind to quickly accomplish the goals.
