SCORM Cloud - metadata.xml could not be opened

May 21, 2020

Hi,

I need a help.

I have a problem with warnings in SCORM Cloud. When i update and rewrite the course in SCORM Cloud, from time to time i get the warnings like you can see on attached picture (i'm testing SCORM 2004). It looks like the system can't found file "metadata.xml" and therefore it reset the Success from passed to unknown (so the user has to repeat the whole course).

File "metadata.xml" is not missing. Also i checked "imsmanifest.xml" and "metadata.xml" and there are no white spaces or special characters.

I was trying to find some pattern (i added/removed picture, audios, slides, etc.), but it seems, these parser warnings are appearing randomly.

Has anyone run into the same problem?

(i'm using Storyline 360 - actual version)

Thank you for an advice.

Hello Pavel!

Thank you for attaching the screenshot! I'm not familiar with this specific error message in SCORM cloud.

Would you mind sharing what changes you made after publishing the course from Storyline and before importing the course to SCORM cloud?

If it's easier, I'm happy to take a look at the file and test it on my end. You can either attach it to this discussion by using the Add Attachment button, or you can share it privately by using this upload link. Either way, we'll take a look at the file and upload it to SCORM cloud. This will help up troubleshoot the error message.
