I have implemented a storyline project exported using SCORM 2014, 4th Ed. to Brightspace/D2L. However, when the user finishes the tutorial and uses our results slide, the grade is not properly submitted to the right grade item. Users have to resubmit on the last page for it to work properly. I have checked my Brightspace mapping to the grade item and it is also correct.
Anyone run into this or have ideas about why it may happen?
P.S. we use the same tutorial and export method for Blackboard and it maps just fine.
Not an issue I'm familiar with. Hopefully your fellow community members will be able to chime in and assist here. You may want to reach out to your LMS team as well.
Thanks for popping in to share an update. You mention that you reached out to SCORM as well...does that mean you are able to replicate in SCORM Cloud? It sounds LMS specific or am I misunderstanding? If you can replicate an issue in SCORM Cloud, we would certainly want to take a look at the .story file.
Thanks. I am currently doing so. I will be sure to update this post if I hear anything. This is quite a large issue for those of us paying for this license.
Altering the SCORM Edition does not ensure the submission of grades. I tested my files using both SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, 3rd Edition do not map to my grade items in Brightspace.
No solution yet. I talked to SCORM for a while with not updates and am now working with a specialist at D2L. It looks like my process is correct so we are working on finding the issue.
Just checking back that I have no solution for this. I do have student data that shows a completion of the tutorial but still not the correct grade being submitted (see attached). SCORM posits that perhaps the student is being marked as complete BEFORE the grade is submitted. Does anyone have information about how Brightspace reports SCORM object completion for a user?
Just an update: turns out my AS2 Project variables were not synced up correctly. After fixing the variables and double checking the questions included in my results slide, I believe this should work. I will report back any problems I find.
This conversation with Aisha is a bit dated, so I do not have any update to share with you and I'm not sure if she's still subscribed here. You are welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.
I'm not sure what issue you are running into, but I'm curious if you've tested in another environment, such as SCORM Cloud, to know if the issue lies within your project or within the LMS.
Let us know if you are able to replicate and we'd be happy to take a look.

Thanks. I have reached out to both SCORM and Brightspace/D2L (here is the post for that if you are interested: https://community.brightspace.com/forums/d2l_tool_and_feature_discussions/brightspace_not_recording_articulate_scorm_results_in_gradebook)
SCORM is not sure and suggested I post here and in Brightspace/D2L.

Hi Leslie,
I have tried this in SCORM Cloud and did not receive any errors. Here is my log from that attempt: https://cloud.scorm.com/sc/guest/ViewDebugLog?logId=0c43c8bc-a996-4092-84a5-bb3367e45425&courseTitle=Finding+Articles+Module
I believe that something is happening only when Articulate talks to the Brightspace gradebook.
Ah, thanks for clarifying. Unless another user of that platform has some insight for you, I would see what Brightspace has to say about it :)

Oh no Aisha - so you're not any closer to resolution it seems? Are you working with Brightspace now to understand?

I will update when/if I get anything back.
I do appreciate you keeping us updated Aisha. I've got my fingers crossed for you ;)

Look at you! Thanks so much Aisha for bringing us along on your journey and progression :)
Good Morning Aisha, do you have any updates on your issue regarding SCORM and Brightspace? Many thanks.
