SCORM's not working after Google Chrome Update

Mar 28, 2019

Hello everyone!

I'm experiencing problems with various Scorm 2004 files after the latest Google Chrome Update (Version 73.0.3683.86 (Official Build) (64-bit)). I'm using Articulate Storyline 360 Version 3.2417733.0. When opening the Scorm 2004 (ed. 4) file in my browser, various elements are not displayed and the subtitles are missing. These errors differ from try to try.

The file worked perfectly fine last week, before I installed the Chrome Update. Does anyone have an idea on how to address this problem?

Thanks for your help!

Hello Ashley,

I installed new content made of Storyline 360 and I notice that my content appears very slowly and it is not synchronized with google chrome. However, everything works well with Internet Explorer.

I check if all my updates are correct and this is the case.

All our customers use Google Chrome.

Regars,
Stephanie

Hello, Stephanie!

Sorry you're running into this problem on Chrome. I'd love to lend a hand, and have a few questions to help us unlock this mystery:

  • Did you publish your content for Web, LMS, or something else?
  • With your permission, I'd like to test your .story file in a similar environment to get a clear picture of what's happening. If that works for you, here's where you can share the file privately with me. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting!

Thanks for sharing your file here, Stephanie!

I used the latest update of Storyline 360 to publish it to SCORM Cloud, an LMS testing environment we use to gauge course performance. Here's the published output

While I'm unable to reproduce any lagging on Chrome 73, I'd love to keep digging! Do you notice any oddities with my published output? If so, does it happen on all slides or certain ones?
