SCORM Settings on suspend

May 19, 2023

Hello,

I am having trouble with a course setting and don't know how to fix it.  I am publishing in 2004 3rd edition (which is supported by our LMS Saba) and set to Pass/Fail.  This is an assessment where the learner can only take the assessment one time.  If the learner does not exit using the "Exit Course" button, the assessment gets marked as failed, even if they achieve a passing score.  I opened and LMS support ticket and they say it is because the course is set to "the Mark as completed on Suspend."  How do I change that?  I've tested in SCORM Cloud and I don't seem to have that issue.

Hi Caren!

It sounds like you had some questions about how your SCORM package is reporting the completion status to your LMS (Saba). I'd be happy to share some insight on that!

Great move testing your course in SCORM Cloud! If you're unable to replicate the same behavior in SCORM Cloud, it's likely an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team. I would suggest sharing a link to the course that's been uploaded to SCORM Cloud with them, so they can see the correct functionality on that server.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Caren,

The Saba support may mean to disable the Consider Content Attempt in "Suspended" state for completion setting in your Saba LMS for that content item in the content library.

Go to the Admin menu  > Manage Content > Content Library > (find your item) > Additional Configuration > disable or uncheck the Consider Content Attempt in "Suspended" state for completion setting.
