Using the trial version on a Windows 7 machine, Lenovo Thinkpad T410.
When I insert audio using the 'Sound' icon, the audio is fine. But when I record the screen and audio, the audio is garbled and distorted....but it's not an amplitude problem. I click the tools icon and the input signal looks fine.

Hi Michael and welcome to Heroes! It sounds like you need to select the correct microphone from the dropdown prior to recording.
I have the correct microphone selected when I record. The plantronics headset has the green arrow.
