I am having troulbe doing some screen recording in Storyline 2 that includes the mouse movement and the system audio. After selecting the Record Screen option, I select no audio because I just want the system sounds. I then record what I want on the screen and insert it into my project. When I play it back, however, I cannot hear any of the system sounds. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the link Leslie. While doing some trial and error, I found that the system sounds play when I select Step by Step, but does not play when I select Video on Single Slide. From the link you sent, it appears to say the opposite. Please let me know if I am misreading this.
Hi Darin! Are the system sounds that you are wanting to include a part of the 'action' steps as defined above? I believe these are handled differently than recorded audio.

Ok, so the 'actions' are what I am thinking about with regard to the system sounds. In other words, the click sounds made when selecting items are what you get when using step-by-step. I get that now. Thanks.

Does the recorded system audio not play when previewing? Does it only play once published?

To record system sounds, mark the Speakers box, then use the drop-down list to select the playback device you want to use.
