I'm clearly missing something basic here - when I open the screen recording option, SL disappears and the desktop shows. The tutorial says that it will disappear temporarily, but when I press the record button the screen remains on the desktop. I also want to take screenshots as well but can't do that either. How do I get my SL slides back on screen to record?

You can open another instance of Storyline to use one instance and record the other.
Thank you. I wasn't quite 'getting' it that you couldn't record from within.
