Screen Recordings: for technical process

Hello,

I need some guidance please .  I seem to remember a recording option that would allow you to record a technical process and then convert it into an interactive file.

e.g. I record the process of filling out an application for a license on line via a website.

I could then take that recording and convert it into and offline page that mimic the process of filling out the application. 

I believe there was either an online training or a webinar that I saw this demonstrated. It might have been a third party vendor or something in "replay" but I am not sure.

Does this sound familiar to anyone and if it does would you mind pointing me in the right direction.
