Hi Itzik,

When you first make a text entry box, you can set the size for the box. If you plan on having more text in that box than will fit the original size, it will automatically scroll on its own as more text is entered. So, you won't need to place this box into a scrolling panel. You can, however, add the text entry field (that automatically scrolls) into a scrolling panel with other content, but I'm not entirely sure if that's what you're trying to do.

Can you give me a little more information about what you'd like to do with the field?

Thanks!

Hi Christine,

I need to place a text entry box that will contain more text than the space I have for it in my page design.

I noticed that it scrols down and add lines and room for my text. Problem is that it doesnt scrole up to my first lines.

According to what you say I enter a text entry field into a scroling pane and not the other way as I tried? (-:

Hi Itzik,

I apologize, I think I was referring to a data entry box, not a text entry. Sorry about that!

You'll want to first make the scrolling pane for the size you'd like. Then, create a text entry box. You may want to make this box a little larger than the scrolling pane (I usually make mine longer). Enter your text into the text entry box and adjust its size, if you need to. Then, drag your text box into the scrolling pane so it aligns in the box. Make sure the top isn't getting cut off, or you may not see the first lines.
