Hi Li,

I don't see that Prakash connected with our support team around this issue. When scrolling in the HTML5 version, you'll want to use the two finger scroll method described here.   If you'd like us to take a look at your .story file are you able to share it here? If you'd prefer you can also send it along to us here.

Hi Ashley - thanks for your response. I can get the two finger scroll method to work on the list of entries in the glossary, but not on the definition, so some of it is cut off where the entry is longer than the drop down in which it displays. I sent the file across to Support, but they they were able to duplicate the issue reported, but unfortunately, were unable to determine a workaround. Should I send the file over again?

Hi Li,

Thanks for letting me know that you already shared this with our Support team. I see that Miker shared the file with our QA team, so that they can do some additional testing. As Miker mentioned, there isn't a work around we're aware of right now and I don't have a time frame to offer on our a fix or information from our QA team.

Hi guy,

I'm working with storyline 3 and storyline 5, in both of them I have the same problem: the two finger scroll method works on the list of entries in the glossary, but not on the definition.
I'm glad to hear that you are getting to fix this issue.

However, I have another problem: the two finger scroll method is not working well in the scrolling panel for storyline 5, but it works without problems for the version 3.
I'm going to explain:
in one project I used the scrolling panel for the audio text, I put it in the slide and there are no problems using storyline 3: it can be scrolled with only one finger's touch.

Instead, when I save the same project with the 5 update, the scrolling panel doesn't work anymore. It is hardly possible to use the scrolling panel, and it is no good!
Unfortunately, I must use the 5 update for this project, and the mobile version is very important.

Can you give me some advice?

Titty Pat

Hi Ashley,
the "one finger" scroll is a joke, an euphemism. It should mean that the scrolling panel works very well with storyline 3.
I cannot say the same thing with storyline 5, with this version is very difficoult to scroll the text in the slide, and impossible in the glossary.
Obviously, I speak about the mobile experience: there are no problems with the scrolling panel for the PC one.

Do you know if the scroll bar worked in storyline update 4? I can't remember. But I have a project right now in which I really, really, really, need scrolling to work properly on mobile devices so am seriously thinking about rolling back to an older version of storyline.

I'm not sure at all, but I think that the scrolling panel issue began with the update 4.In my opinion, you have to use storyline 3, the only one that ensures the properly work of the scrolling panel.

Nancy, i think this is not the aswer all of us expect. We would like to have the note and glossary panel working. I also remember that update 3 had better performances with that.

Furthermore, update 3 did not slow down the course when inserting videos, while update 5 published course, after some slides, starts going slower and slower.

This issue caused two very iportant customers of us to abandon several courses developed with Storyline and to migrate to Captivate, since the experience on ipad has become terrible. Before someone here answer that we could publish using articulate app for ipad, i will say "no we cant" because their platform does not support tin can api, and they would lose tracking. The worse thing of this story is that all courses worked pretty well before the last two updates of storyline, and this is very hard to explain to customers.

Html5 version is not such an impossible result to aim to, there are several tools that export scorms that play smoothly on safari. Not last, Captivate has developed a last release oriented to exclusive html5 publishing, that also support media queries for responsive usage. In my opinion, Articulate team should move quickly to solve these heavy bugs and release a new update, because they are losing customers every day. There is a long list of bugs we have reported and still not resolved, that every day becomes longer.
