Scrolling panel and hyperlink text help

Jun 26, 2014

I have a slide that will appear as a lightbox and it also contains a scrolling panel. I have two words that need to be a hyperlink and will direct the user to a separate slide. Originally everything worked fine. Now, when I click the hyperlink nothing happens. I am able to see that the associated "hotspot area" is about an inch to the left of the desired text. Meaning that if the user clicks the word in front of the hyperlinked text then they will be directed to the correct slide.

I have tried retyping the word and placing it in a different location, but I still have the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Hi Donielle,

When it worked before, were you at a different zoom level? Say editing it at something not 100% zoom and therefore where you place it on the slide is different than how it's viewed in the final output or previewing? If you're still having difficulty could you share the file here with us?

It's also a good reminder to look into the following:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
