Select and View

Nov 05, 2013

I want to create a portal type of presentation where users are allowed to select and view the slides related to a particular topic.

For instance, I have 8 types of agencies and each one has different instructions.  Instead of the viewer having to sit through the entire presentation viewing parts that do not pertain to their particular agency, I would like them to be able to find the title of their agency, click it and be brought to the slides that

pertain specifically to them.

I cannot find a tutorial on this....and it's so cumbersome looking through the forum because I don't even know what the name of this tutorial would be.

I thought of using file folders or books on a bookshelf and having the viewer click on their folder or book that brings them to the information they need.

I have the graphic downloads, I just need a tutorial.

Can someone help?

Thanks,

Michele

Hi Michele,

I don't believe there is an official tutorial on how to set up what you're describing, but there are a number of great examples within the community using the branching method based on an initial "menu" slide where the user picks their path. Here is one with an example from Phil where information is also tracked by variable. Another discussion is in this thread, so you can see how you set it up all depends on your own needs and personal design aesthetics.
