Self-made Submit button needs to be clicked twice !?
Feb 27, 2014
We have what seems like a nasty bug I can't get rid of.
We use the newest Storyline update under Parallels Desktop on a Mac (Mevricks). We work with an entirely self-designed navigation and all buttons work fine usually. But any "submit"-action needs to be clicked twice. There is only one trigger on that button (like "submit action / Pick many / when user clicks / submit button") and it should simply work. In one case it's even worse: positive Feedback is not showing up at all, negative after a second click. All this is really wrecking the user experience
Any ideas what's the matter? I sometimes have noticed a very short moment of the result flashing up after the first click.
The file is like 25 MB, if you need to examine it i could send it (or a few screens only)

HI Peder and welcome to Heroes!
Can you tell us a bit more about where and how you're testing the course to see the behavior? Also I believe the file size limit in the forums is 20mb, so if you'd like to strip it down to a few problematic slides we're happy to take a look!
Hello Ashley,
thanks so much, find the condensed file here:

On one page there is a button that works on the first click, all the others don't. I also tried to create a new D&D-ducument from the scratch – and there it all works fine. Would be so nice to understand this ...

From your Correct/Incorrect layers, remove the button triggers that hide the layer when the timeline starts OR change them to execute 'when user clicks'.
Also, on your first interaction, there was no Submit trigger, I added that. See attached file. Hope that works for you.

Hi Peder,
It looks like Michael has you covered here (thanks Michael!) but let us know if you need anything else!
That works marvellous. Easy point, but I would have searched for ages.
Thank you so much, Michael.

Thanks for the update Peder!
