When I create a text box with font, styles, colors, justification, and margins, and then right-click and select "Set as default text box," nothing seems to happen. I have to reformat every block of text that I create.
Sorry you are having issues with default text boxes in Storyline 360. I'd be happy to help!
Certain formatting options like font, size, color, etc. can be applied using the "Set to Default Text Box" option which you'll see when you right click on a text box (or object). However it doesn't apply to Wrapping or Autofit of text, so you'll still need to adjust that once you've added in the text.

That's what I've been doing, but it doesn't seem to stick. Here are my steps:
Create a text box using the Draw Text Box button, which I've saved to my Quick Access Toolbar.
Add text to the text box, and change the font, color, and size to match what I want.
Right click on that text box, and select Set as Default Text Box.
The next time I draw a new text box, the format reverts back to the defauly Calibri regular - font, font size, and font color all go back to the default.
I tested this out on my end and found that when selecting Set as Default Text Box, only the color of the text box saves.
One thing you can try is to use the format painter on the Home tab. If you click the Format Painter once, you can apply the formatting to one object. If you double-click, you'll enable the format painter to copy over to as many objects as necessary until you right-click to end it.
Are there any plans to change the way this function works? It sure would be a lot easier for the Set as Default Text box to capture and save all of the formats - margins, auotfit, alignment, font size, font color, etc.
