SF file not working

Hi,
I created a slide that has an interactive swf file imbedded. When published it doesn't work 100% of the time.
I think it may have to do with certain browsers not having flash installed/enabled. I tested this out on my MAC and PC. PC it worked perfectly fine, on the MAC it didn't until I enabled flash (Chrome).
I also noticed that when I published the course I had the settings at FLASH/HTML5 backup. When the URL was pasted into the browser as story.html, the browser defaulted to story_html5.html.
Any suggestions?

That sounds like expected behavior. Check out this article to understand how your content will be presented to users.
You are correct though, and Flash movies will only display in the Flash output. Check out this chart for comparison.
