Short Answer responses to LMS

May 18, 2013

I have set up a custom variable so that it reports a student response to the results slide. The idea is that it would then communicate those results with the LMS. What else do I need to do to make this happen? I have attached images of one of the slide variables and the results slide setup.

Thanks!

Michelle,

I don't understand what you are trying to do.  Storyline has "Fill in the Blank" quiz questions which will report the learner response to the LMS. Have you tried that option?

If you use a custom variable for text entry, those values are retained via suspend_data and stored on the LMS, but they're not reported as a learner response.

Agree with Sam I would always use an interaction for storing data in the LMS it is much easier to report instead of using a variable.
