Show elapsed time on player

Jan 06, 2021

I need to show the user how long each slide lasts, as they're advancing through a course. Does the functionality exist yet? I've seen customers asking for this fairly often over the years but have not been able to see that it's been implemented.

Hello Education RSPA and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

This is still an open feature request that we are tracking, but it is not on the roadmap at this time. This conversation is linked to our report so that we can share any updates with you here.

In Storyline, the duration of a specific slide or the entire course can vary depending upon the amount of interactivity, layers, complex branching scenarios, and more that may be present.

Just to add a comment. I have been requested by stakeholders for the same thing. They want to see how long each slide is. Come countries we train in want/need this. Please ask development to look at this option. I understand time changes based on interactivity, however other development software programs have found ways to make this happen.

Hi, Education RSPA and Eric.

I have exciting news to share!
We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 58, we've included important fixes and new features.

One of the features we've included is:

Create timed interactions and conditional triggers using built-in variables that track the total time a learner spends on a slide, a scene, or an entire course.

To take advantage of this feature, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
