I can't seem to get 2 layers to show when timeline starts. It seems it's one or the other. I want both layers to show and then have them disappear when a hotspot or button is clicked. For example the objects come on screen at different times and I'd like to be able to hide them if the user clicks the button or hotspot prior to their appearance. In other words these are hints for the user and if the user has already clicked the hotspot or button I don't want the hint to appear after the hotspot or button are clicked.
My first suggestion is to right-click each of your layers and choose properties. On the window that shows up, make sure "Hide other slide layers" is unchecked:
