Show Slide Layers in Menu
Jan 02, 2014
We have created a course with several scenes, slides, and layers within slides. It has become necessary that a user is able to go back to a previous slide if they need to review the information but if that slide has layers, they are only able to go back to the previous slide rather than the previous layer (Hopefully that makes sense). Is there a way to show those layers in the menu in order to be able to navigate back and forth between them?
I attached a screenshot of an example of a slide we have that has about 4 or 5 layers within it. The menu only shows the original slide and not the layer within.
Thank you!

Hi Karoline,
I don't believe there's a way to show slide layers from the Player menu.
You probably already know this, but if the slide is set up to show initial state on revisiting, clicking the Previous button will bring Learners to the slide's Base Lyaer
If the slide is set up to resume the saved state, clicking the Previous button will bring Learners back to the last layer they visited.
The only way I can think of around this is to have all layers accessible via buttons or shapes on the slide's base Layer - that way they'd also be available on all the layers.
But others in the community may jump in with a better idea.
Hi Karoline,
Becky is correct, that since layers are considered a part of the slide itself, they will not appear separately within the menu. You may want to check your revisiting properties as Becky suggested.
