Showing a Selection on a Different Slide
Jul 01, 2014
Hi all -
Hoping someone can help me. I am working on a course, where the user is prompted to categorize themselves in one of five styles. So I have a slide (slide 1) for that selection. Then after they select one style, it takes them to a slide that talks more about that style.
Once they finish learning about that style, they click a return button, that takes them to a slide that looks just like the initial selection slide, and will have a checkmark next to the style they have already reviewed. It also lists the other four styles - so they have to click on each style to learn more. After they finish learning about all five styles, I would like to take them to a slide (recap) that says, here is the initial style you chose for yourself. Now after learning about all the styles would you still choose that style.
I can't seem to figure out how to get their initial selection from slide 1 to show up on the recap slide. I separated the slides (slide 1 and the 'Return' slides) because I wanted to capture their initial selection.
I have tried using the variables, but when I test it does not seem to work. What am I missing??
I have attached a sample file of what I am trying o accomplish - just to give a high level idea.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Have a look at the attached file and see if that's what you want. When clicking any of the three buttons, a variable is set to 1, 2 or 3. This only works the first time around. On the recap slide, the correct checkbox is set based on the value of the initial selection. Hope that helps.
Thanks Michael!! Worked perfectly!! Thanks for you help!
