Single Source Storyline file for two different audiences

May 27, 2015

I have a course for two audiences where the source has a high amount of reuse - there's one extra section (unfortunately, it's the 2nd scene in the course), and of course, the agenda and summary slides change for the two audiences as a result.

Is there a way to create the source with two paths for publishing to accommodate the two audiences (and subsequently the two different menus)? I can include a variable to set which audience is being viewed to manage some of the content changes between slides and even to transition to different scenes, but I'd really like to try and keep it to one source file if possible.

Thanks for your input!

Hi Jamie,

There isn't a way to change any of the player elements such as the menu based on which path the user takes. If you set up a custom menu on the slide itself, you could control that based on the variables as you mentioned. This thread is a bit older, and deals with splitting a course based on language - but gives some good ideas on how this is done.
