Hi Sylvia!

Happy to share some insight on this!

Storyline 360 is one of our desktop applications that needs to be installed locally on your machine. When working in Storyline, we recommend working with files on your local hard drive to avoid any erratic behavior while authoring. While we do not store customers' .story files online, you can choose to upload a copy, for backup, when publishing to Review 360.

Please let me know if you have any more questions!

To use SL360, you need to install the app on your computer.

You should only open and edit .story files on your computer. Working over a network could corrupt the file. However, it's a good idea to keep back-up copies, and you can certainly store a copy somewhere online.

When you publish a Storyline course to Review 360, you have the option to also upload a copy of the .story file.
